About our military jackets and smocks

Most jackets here are genuine issue surplus: British Army MTP and DPM combat smocks, MTP Gore-Tex waterproofs, PCS thermal smocks, Royal Navy and RAF Gore-Tex jackets, and European parkas. New Battalion own-brand jackets are labelled as new, not surplus.

  • Sizing: issue jackets use NATO size codes, height/chest in centimetres. 180/96 fits roughly 180 cm tall with a 96 cm chest. Listings show inches alongside the code.
  • Camouflage: MTP is current British Army issue; DPM is the earlier woodland pattern.
  • Every item is graded by hand before it ships: Super Grade (cleanest issued kit, minimal use), Grade 1 (good serviceable, light wear) or Grade 2 (heavier wear, fully usable). The grade you choose is the grade packed.
  • Orders placed before 1pm Monday to Friday are dispatched the same working day by Royal Mail tracked service. UK delivery is free on orders of £100 or more. Returns are accepted within 30 days.
